Hi, I’m Doug Birnbaum. I’m a filmmaker and photographer who’s been obsessed with cameras for as long as I can remember. As soon as I got my first car, I was heading out of my small hometown and down to Hollywood to study acting and filmmaking. Eventually, I made my way up to San Francisco, picked up an MFA in photography, and started shaping a career around the two things I love most — great visuals and honest, story-driven work.

I’ve always been moved by rich cinematography. Not just how a shot looks, but how lighting, location, and movement can pull you into a story. That passion for creating cinematic moments, especially shooting people in real, textured environments, has opened the door to some incredible opportunities over the years.

These days, I work at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. I use what I’ve learned from film and apply it to brand growth, helping businesses map their customer journey and turn that into emotional, high-impact content that resonates. I believe stories should have structure, visuals should have meaning, and every project should leave a lasting impression.
